Jordan Spieth became the favorite to win the 2015 British Open on Monday with the announcement that Rory McIlroy could be forced to bow out with an ankle injury.

That’s just fine with him.

“I worked hard with (swing coach) Cameron (McCormick) every day this last week,” said Spieth regarding what he’s been doing since winning the US Open. “Got my body right in the gym.”
